Although I do not consider myself perfect, I love things elegant – most of the time. It is important for me that my home is beautiful and lives in it. I want him to fill laughter, joy and life. If this means some jokes and spills? This is good with me. However, over the years of home renovations, people asked me whether some things were “stood up”, or if I am still recommending a specific product or style. genuinely? This really depends on your individual forgiveness with potential defects.
Therefore, if the virgin surfaces are important to you, or if wearing signs are bothering you, here are seven things that you must carefully consider in your home design projects. I have experience with all these, so I will give you my sincere opinion!
1. Carpet from the wall to the wall
There is nothing like a carpet feeling under the foot. I had other houses, and it was great. However, the carpet collects dust, fur and allergens … and if you get a stigma on it? Well, some stains are treatable and others are more complicated. (Like the time you got pink paint on our carpet 12 years ago. Yixes.) There are services and tools for carpet cleaning, but it will always be a difficult battle.
Of course, carpets also collect things, but the main difference is that you can take them out to clean them professionally or easily replace them if they are not rescue. I am more than a girl of solid wood and Russians now because I love aesthetic, but I play with the addition of a rug to our play room. We’ll see …
2. Soap stone or marble countertop

I have very large tolerance and love for wear when it comes to kitchen surfaces. First, I could not recommend the soap stone counter. I even not get it or keep it away! I love her appearance a little less. To clean it, sprinkle Mrs. Mairez soap on it and wash it with a piece. I don’t see any strikes or scratches (but I am sure they are there).

Kitchen shopping
Our marble is higher maintenance. It is a softer stone, giving way to a stain, scratching. Within a year of getting our surfaces, we got a large mark from some unknown kitchen leakage and we had to recover the meters professionally. It should be reselling frequently. But our marble scratches to the point that we no longer notice the defects anymore. The first scratch is deeper (anyone else hears Sherrill Crowe now?). Now it seems just like an old friend with a personality: I don’t even notice the faults, I only think about the number of good times we have around our kitchen island.
3. Copper gutters

Shop the backyard
Here’s tea: If you are not in everything “Patina”, stay away from real copper. I still love the appearance? Perhaps the copper barbecles tried. It is made of aluminum, steel, or even vinyl, but they have this copper -like paint.
On the positive side, the copper bargains are very durable and can last up to 100 years without corrosion. I couldn’t love our copper guests more – they are falling on our external update cake, but I must admit I am a little worried. I want them to have some zenjar, but they are not fully oxidized. Some of them began to rotate! We will need to apply a protective layer soon.
4. High glossy paint

Study shopping
I love a brilliance drama! He added a touch of modernity to our study treasury and trim. High shine in high gloss paint reflects lightly-and also avoids scratches, bumps, dirt and spots. You don’t hide any defects with high glass paint!
If you are dedicated to the appearance as if you were, make sure you are completely preparing for the area. And if you are employing painters, make sure they are on the same page with the final coat! (Note my warning story.)
5. Jot Carpet

Natural Judy/Ivory Rat
Incredibly beautiful jute carpets, use of natural materials, at general prices in general. However, jute carpets are somewhat more difficult to care. You cannot soak these carpets with cleaner as you can with other carpets. It is also more likely to choose from pets, sharp objects, and heavy wear. For me, this means that they have a great feeling of living over time. I am not upset with the development of that “personality”. But they can really bother people who notice these differences.
When designing the Judy collection in our rug line with LOLOI, we have combined the fungus with the durability of the cotton, which creates a stronger connection. However, you still have to take care of them accurately. So if you are perfect and love the appearance, put it in a room that you do not use much, such as the official dining room – or like it in another person’s house!
6. Non -performance fabric sofa

KIPUTON CORNER SECORTAL at “Nomad Snow” Crypton Fabric
Listen, I love the twist twist sofa (give me all the old feelings of Ralph Lauren). But after some sofas look like they passed through Ranger in only one year (with 3 young children and Gueen helps themselves the best seats at home), she has mostly turned into high -performance fabrics.
One way to see if the sofa will stand in front of the elements is to look at the corrosion resistance. Many places call the fabric “solid” if they can carry 30,000 dual or more rubbing (industry method for measuring wear on the fabric). Performance fabrics can withstand about 40,000 dual or more rubbing. Crypton tissue can withstand 50,000 dual or more rubbing, and one of the Sunbrella fabric supports corrosion resistance up to 100,000 dual rubble.
It is worth checking before investing in a highly ticket element that you don’t want to become your scratch post.
7. Black bed

If you sleep warm and loved light bed, I can understand the attractiveness of flax sheets. It is a natural cooling tissue, breathing, long-term-what he does not like? I made them in girls’ rooms before and loved the appearance.
But here I am outside, perfection: wrinkles will push you crazy. I am sure that there are brands that come out with sheets and mix new and better linens, but traditionally, these leaves will never look “fragile”.
They can also feel relatively hard compared to other fabrics, although they soften over time. If you like that hotel covered, it helps you start your day in a good note, this is not for you!
What will you add to the list? It is funny, nothing of these things really bother me, but the cabinets, walls and panels? This is a different story. I want these things to be primitive!
