This time of year can be so overwhelming! There are so many things you can do outside and there are only so many things you can do. Plus, all the things you see online or on social media asking you to buy are taking up space in your mind. I’m currently painting my porch and trying to get my yard out of neglect. it’s bad. And I’m not making excuses, but we had about eight rainy and cold weekends in a row, and then it went straight to editing my manuscript for my literary agent. More to come with that.
Summer is my seasonal season, so if there was ever a time to buy, it would be now. I don’t overspend, but if a product helps me relax, saves me time or money, or makes me happy, I’m hooked. So, over the years, I’ve purchased and tested many products so you don’t have to. Here’s Amazon’s favorite summer must-haves for a classic outdoor space. Think about the best you can get on a limited budget.
First, the solar lights I bought for my front porch. This is still one of my best purchases. Previously, I had to constantly replace batteries. It was annoying. Anything to do with solar energy is a yes for me. It makes my life so much easier. I also love the egg chair. It fills the corner perfectly and is very comfortable. It’s definitely a splurge, but I’m happy with it.
This inflatable hot tub is the best thing we have purchased for our patio. You can read the pros and cons list here, but I use it every day. Well worth the money.
I’ve had worse luck with the big growers. Some are very heavy, and some can’t stand up to the elements, but these cement planters are not only classic, they’re lightweight too.
I’ve also bought several fire pits over the years, and the cheap ones don’t produce enough heat. This white FIREPIT is beautiful and very comfortable. It’s also beautiful and has held up well, making it a happy purchase.
This TREE STUMP side table is versatile to suit any season and style. Another happy purchase and a great conversation piece
You can’t beat these white edged umbrellas. They’re large, which is great when it gets hot out here, but they also clean up well with bleach. They are affordable and practical. Oh, and beautiful.
The fiberglass stones in the fire pit were a splurge, but they elevate it. Think chic boutique hotel along the coast.

These outdoor solar lights are another big hit. We have a lot of plugs going at once, and it’s nice to have something that’s solar powered. I just purchased the STRIPE SLING back chairs. I haven’t designed them yet, but I love them, and they’re very affordable.
You can shop more of my outdoor favorites from Amazon here.
Have a nice day, my friend. I hope to have some book news soon.
