Furniture companies invest a significant amount of time and money each year in photo shoots or computer-generated imagery (CGI) to produce images of their products. Using Presti AI, it is now possible to upload a simple product image and display it in any environment within seconds.
Hundreds of furniture companies have begun to use this solution to create images of their lifestyle. “The creation process takes only seconds, without making any changes to the product and at a fraction of the usual cost,” said Hamza Bennis, co-founder of the company. He explained that this disruption benefits retailers and manufacturers in three ways:
1. This technology allows the rapid creation of any scene, from vintage and Scandinavian styles to bohemian and modern, in just seconds.
2. Ensures that product features are precisely maintained, even for difficult fabrics such as velvet and rattan.
3. The speed and cost-effectiveness of image creation opens up new possibilities for companies to leverage their product images.
“Companies, for example, have begun to update their website images more regularly,” Hamza added. “Expect to see your favorite locations receiving seasonal updates for Spring, Summer, Winter, Halloween, and Christmas!”
In a consumer perception study conducted by the company, a group of participants were shown several websites displaying images created either entirely or partially using Presti. They were asked to differentiate between AI-generated images, snapshots, and 3D renderings. Most participants considered those produced through photo sessions or artificial intelligence to be authentic.
Presti recently announced the successful closing of a $3.5 million seed round as the company looks to build on its momentum. Partech led the seed funding round, alongside a handful of angel investors including the likes of Thibaud Elzière, Maxime Brousse, Abou Laraki, Rémi Lemonnier, and Julien Hirth.
The new funding will help Presti expand its reach and continually improve its technology and product offerings for the furniture industry. It recently introduced a new feature that allows users to change colors and fabrics within seconds. In addition, the team is exploring video, a new area they are actively working on.
“Presti offers the best AI solutions for creating lifestyle images,” said James Ward, corporate director at FW Homestores. “It has provided us with a viable alternative to CGI and photo shoots. In the past month, we have easily created over 200 lifestyle images for both print and digital materials.
