This healthy banana ice cream only requires three ingredients. It is creamy and super delicious. This recipe is made using a Ninja Creami ice cream maker. We recently shared a detailed review of the Ninja Creami product and today I am sharing another healthy ice cream recipe that you can make at home.

ingredients
Bananas You will need two bananas to make this pint of ice cream. Milk You can use any type of milk including plant-based milk (like almond milk). I used Fairlife milk to add a little protein. Agave You can use any sweetener you prefer or none at all. I used agave syrup to add a little sweetness.
About Ninja Creamy
I have tried other ice cream makers and I love the Ninja Creami the most. The best thing about the Creami is that it has the perfect consistency every time! The Creami makes it easy to make super healthy ice cream with fewer ingredients. For example, one of the best ice creams I have ever made was fresh mango frozen in coconut milk.
Here are the basics on how to use the Ninja Creami machine. Start by freezing your desired ingredients in the provided container for 24 hours. I usually keep several flavors in the freezer – ready to go. Once frozen, you can choose between settings such as ice cream, sorbet, gelato, and blend. I always use the “ice cream” setting first. After the first cycle, the ice cream will have a chalky texture. Add more liquid to the middle of the container (either milk or water) and “spin.” After the second cycle, it’s ready to eat. At this point, you can also add your blended ingredients and run a “blend” cycle to incorporate them throughout your pint. It takes about five to ten minutes to complete a pint of ice cream.

How to make
In a large bowl, combine the banana slices, milk, and aloe vera. Stir until combined (it’s okay to leave the banana in chunks). Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 24 hours.
Use your Ninja Creami on the “Ice Cream” setting.
Take out the pint and take a look at the ice cream. If you think the texture is a little chalky (or not as creamy as you’d like), make a well in the center of the ice cream and add a tablespoon of water or milk. Then use the “re-spin” function. Repeat until the texture is creamy.
We recommend adding sprinkles, chocolate chips or banana slices on top. Enjoy your ice cream right away!
Tips for making
Add Protein Add a scoop of your favorite protein powder to any mix for a high-protein ice cream. When to Serve It’s best to squeeze creamy ice cream just before eating. If you refreeze it for more than a few hours, you may find that the ice cream is hard again and you may want to use the “re-squeeze” function. Labeling If you’re making multiple flavors at once, be sure to label each one. Flavors Add 1/2 teaspoon of flavored extract (such as cherry, almond, or mint) for flavor variety. You can also add cocoa powder (I’ll start with 1 tablespoon) to create a chocolate variation.
Banana ice cream
Fruits: Try maraschino cherries, fresh cherries, or fresh berries. Candy: Try Reese’s Pieces, M&Ms, or chocolate chips. Cookies: Try crumbled Oreo cookies or pieces of edible cookie dough.
