A Bloody Maria is a classic Bloody Mary drink made with tequila. Also known as a Tequila Bloody Mary. This Bloody Maria is made with tequila, tomato juice, lime juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt, and black pepper. Garnishes are half the fun, so go big!

Ingredients in Bloody Maria
Tequila – Choose a Blanco or Reposado tequila. Tomato Juice – There’s no need for a Bloody Mary mix when you’re starting from scratch with tomato juice. Lime Juice – or lime juice. Prepared Horseradish – (not horseradish sauce) Worcestershire Sauce – A flavorful sauce often used in barbecue and in a Bloody Mary. Hot Sauce – such as Tabasco, Cholula, or Tapatio. Celery Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper for Garnish – It’s all about the garnish for a Bloody Maria. You can mix and match ideas. Some of our favorites include celery stalks, tomatoes, pickle spears, green olives, lime wedges, jalapeno slices, cocktail onions, fresh rosemary, or cilantro.
The best tools for serving Bloody Maria are any type of tall drinking glass like a Collins or pint glass. I used these wooden garnish picks to make fun tomato decorations.
directions
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine tequila, tomato juice, lime juice, prepared horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, celery salt, and black pepper.

Tips for making
Orange Juice – Some recipes swear by adding a little orange juice to your recipe. I haven’t tried this yet, but it sounds interesting for a little sweet and salty flavor. Salted Rim – Add a salted rim if you want to be a little extra. Try our Margarita Salt recipe if you haven’t already. Optional Ingredients – If you want to add a little flavor to your cocktail, add a little lemon juice. If you want to boost the savory flavor, add a little garlic powder to your cocktail shaker.
