I love creating simple projects using basic cedar fencing. I wanted to add a rustic element to my Thanksgiving and Christmas table decor, so I came up with this! I love that you can switch out the flowers each season!
Why do we love this vase holder?
Budget-friendly Created with kit Adds rustic charm to the holiday table Change foliage with the seasons Makes a great gift or craft gallery project Easy to customize to size
How I built this project
Start by measuring and cutting the picket fence depending on the size of the vase you are using. I am using a 1/2 gallon jar for this project.
After cutting I sanded my boards.
Next you will attach the side to the bottom using glue and nails.
Next, you’ll measure and rip the side pieces using a table saw. No table saw? No problem, just make the height of your box proportional to the width of the existing stakes.
Finally secure the torn panels front and back using glue and screws. I started with the top and bottom panels first and then attached the middle piece, then just moved the last two pieces around to get the spacing right.
Finish as desired and fill with your favorite flowers or greenery!
