Promotion: Corian Design partner Soliform transformed the bathroom of a private apartment in Sofia, Bulgaria, using Corian solid-surface panels to add “a touch of elegance.”
Aiming to encapsulate a “feeling of sophistication and tranquility,” the bathroom floors and walls were covered with 70 square meters of Corian solid surface – a non-porous, versatile material developed by Corian Design.
The material is intended to offer both aesthetic and practical use.
Corian panels were also used in the bathroom vanity unit, which is equipped with a wash basin, towel rack and outlets, allowing it to blend into the space.
The beige color is greatly offset by a white bathtub as well as gray-coloured fixtures.
Corian’s branded solid surface has cleaning and hygienic properties, and is popular in bathrooms for its practical, non-porous surface and inconspicuous joints.
“Unlike traditional stone materials that feel hard and cold, Corian solid surface is gentle and soft to the touch with its silk-like surface,” the company said.
“Corian is also the perfect durable choice for spaces with minimal impact on human health and the environment because it is free of harmful chemicals and can always be repaired.”
Sofia-based manufacturing company Soliform, which designed the bathroom, specializes in designing and manufacturing Corian solid surface products.
“This bathroom is the epitome of elegance, and every detail has been meticulously studied,” said Christian Kostov, General Manager of Soliform.

“The seamless integration of this color choice across the bathroom gives the space a cohesive and visually welcoming aura, highlighting the feeling of comfort and refined aesthetics, and adding a touch of elegance and precision to the overall composition,” Kostov added.
“This bathroom truly shows how careful material selection and craftsmanship can incorporate functionality and high-end aesthetics into a living space.”
The wall feature, consisting of a Corian panel in a drift smoke color backed by recessed lighting, emits a warm glow to add to the ambiance of the space. Concealed lighting also illuminates the bathroom mirror.
The 10cm shade gap, strategically placed from the floor with overlapping detailing, is designed to serve both functional and aesthetic purposes.
This design feature facilitates thermal expansion coming from the floor heating system, Kurian said.
“The solution was made possible by the almost endless flexibility offered by the material. We are fortunate to have Soliform’s highly valuable technical know-how and long manufacturing experience,” the company said.
Corian Design is a division of DuPont – an organization with an international footprint that manufactures and markets Advanced materials, products and solutions for interior design and architecture.
Soliform is among the list of partners of the company’s quality network, A A program designed to ensure the delivery of manufacturing, sales and technical services for Corian steel surface.
The company said it is able to offer a 10-year guarantee on the work performed thanks to the ingenuity of the partners in its program.
Besides manufacturing high quality products, Soliform’s services also include consulting, pricing, design, delivery and installation for interior and exterior projects inside and outside Bulgaria.
