You may have noticed by now that we really love using wallpaper in our home, so today I’m going to share with you all the spaces we’ve added wallpaper to. Mark and I just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary and the same number of years in this house, room by room, adding our own personal touch to our home. We love how it all turned out and today I’m going to share with you the wallpaper spaces and how we’ve creatively used wallpaper as an accent. I’ve loved wallpaper for a long time and after all the wallpaper and borders we all used in the 80s and 90s, I think wallpaper has gotten a bad rap for a few years. Yes, I’ve removed a lot of wallpaper myself over the years, so I can understand that. But if you’re using your own creative ideas to add flair to a space, wallpaper can be the perfect complement. Come on in and I’ll show you!

Dining room: dark blue grass cloth
The dining room was one of the first spaces we designed after moving into this house. Mark added this beautiful wood paneling and I rented the dark blue grasscloth wallpaper. You can read more about this room called Grasscloth Wallpaper Lessons Learned , and the wallpaper used is Thibaut Peacock, a rich dark blue. I learned some grasscloth lessons when the color variations showed up, which is one of the hallmarks of grasscloth wallpaper. It’s not perfect! But I definitely love how it turned out.
I added white plates and beautiful blue heron prints to this room for artwork and I still love it all.
Guest bathroom: woven bamboo grass cloth
While renovating our guest bathroom, we found this beautiful Wicker Weave wallpaper, another grass cloth we saw at a show house and decided to use it here. I still love it!
You can see all the before and after photos in this post. We have since added crown molding to this room, and it is finished.
Guest Room: Peel & Stick Blue & White
It was fun to redecorate this guest room, after spending a ton of money on this gorgeous Tommy Bahama queen bed and adding blue and white peel and stick wallpaper.
I’ve decided that peel and stick wallpaper isn’t my favorite thing to hang, so I probably won’t be installing another one. Using pre-pasted or pre-glued wallpaper gives you more time to move things around and arrange them properly.
But I love this room now, and after adding the Iris Apfel tropical bird rug, it looks great here. You can check out that post here.
Laundry room: flowers
My laundry room got a fun makeover with beaded wallpaper for the front and Caitlin Wilson Citron Vert colorful wallpaper.
I wanted a happy space and I got it! I have since added these beautiful prints from a local friend of mine who does them locally. You can find her shop on Etsy, Intaglio & Co. She gets her frames and paper from Europe and they are gorgeous. She even had these colors custom made for me!
Upper hallway: brick wallpaper
We started with brick wallpaper behind our bed in the master bedroom and loved it so much we did that in the hallway as well.
This faux brick wallpaper ended up being the perfect complement to the board and box moldings Mark placed in the hallway.
Master bedroom: brick wallpaper
Mark found this lovely faux brick wallpaper from England and we loved using it on the headboard wall as a feature. It really warmed the room up. It is great quality and can be used as a wall paste and it installed beautifully.
I love the way the colors pop in the rug.
Master bathroom toilet: Eucalyptus
In the master bathroom we were renovating we got a beautiful eucalyptus wallpaper in the toilet. It was pre-pasted by Spoonflower and was easy to work with too.
More bathroom accents from Intaglio & Co. They do a great job and these colors are so pretty on my wallpaper here.
Playroom/Office: Tropical Mural
I renovated my office space with this beautiful tropical mural and I love it too. You can see the details of this makeover in this post and you can see that I originally used another peel and stick wallpaper, but it wasn’t the right choice, so when I had the opportunity to replace it later with this mural, I did it!
Guest bathroom upstairs: Art Deco
The latest space we designed this summer is the upstairs guest bathroom, next to Mark’s man cave and my office space. The bathroom has been transformed into a stunning Art Deco wallpaper and we love it. It really accentuates the tiled wood paneling we added here. I had this in mind before we thought of everything and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to be.
This wallpaper comes from the popular show Escape to the Chateau, Noveau Heron and is part of their wallpaper collection.
As you can see, we really love using wallpaper on a feature wall or using it over wood paneling in any space. It really adds so much joy and we love every space we have designed. Wallpaper really makes a difference! I hope you get inspired by some of our projects!
