Decorating ideas for a Santa-themed entryway.
I put together a fun Christmas Santa display in the hotel lobby this year and absolutely loved how it turned out!
In general, decorating the countertop and bookcase is the hardest thing for me. I find it much easier to decorate small spaces, especially for the holidays.
I’m usually overwhelmed by all the display space a long Everett entryway table provides. Last year I just planned our cute light village:

And it was so beautiful! But I wanted to do something more Christmassy this time.
Each letter is individual and I made them stand up, so I distributed them along the bottom and then added some small decorative touches like greenery and pinecones:

After I made these letters I had this idea — I wanted to do a show inspired by “Believe in Santa.”
I had so much fun putting this together!
On a recent antiques trip, I found these large brass bells that I placed all over the green space:

I was specifically looking for an upright brass bell to use for the show, and was thrilled to find one while antiqueing as well:

I know some people like the look of antique brass, but I prefer to clean it up and give it some shine! I used my favorite method for cleaning copper and the result was absolutely beautiful!:

I imagine Santa’s bell would be bright and shiny, right?
You can find lots of beautiful, cheap holiday-themed art on Etsy – a picture of Santa reading is what I printed for this display.
If you have a great printer, you can easily print them at home.
I print mine at CVS for a few bucks – they always have coupon codes for discounts too!
This black Santa print tabletop stand is one of my favorite decor pieces – it’s so versatile and looks great anywhere I put it.
We have owned this cute Letters to Santa display box for years, and it comes in a metallic bronze colour:

This color wasn’t right for me, so I changed it up a bit with some black spray paint:

I liked the brass handle, so I kept it as is.
The box needed some dimension, so I took a piece of gold Rub n Buff and used it to highlight the letters:

What a difference you made! I absolutely love it now.
How do I create a Santa display without including my own message to Santa? Finding my own letter to Santa Claus in a book (after more than 30 years) was a very special experience:

It is now one of my most treasured pieces!
Months ago, I saw an adorable wicker sleigh online (I found it at Antique Farmhouse), and thought it was a unique find.
I asked for it and then everywhere I looked there were bamboo skis. Haha! This is an ongoing event with my Christmas decor this year. They are very popular this season, and for good reason.
Our site is full of two beautiful Christmas decorations that I shared a few weeks ago. I used the soft, flowing greenery from this post, then threw in some wood and brass bells:
If you’re looking for a larger sleigh like this, I found this natural rattan sleigh to be a little more rustic but looks the same size.
It all came together so beautifully! We love this beautiful Christmas display:

Oh, I forgot Santa’s cute shoes! It’s getting a little busy to include these on the table, but they look great on the floor too:

I also had my husband’s old pipe mounted on the pile of books, but it was getting lost on the display. I needed to reel it a little anyway.
I’m so happy with how this Santa set came together! I don’t usually make themed decor, but this is definitely my favorite Christmas decor ever:
