This is a soft DIY basket as it can, but it is strong enough to hold all eggs from chasing Easter eggs.
When you are a child, do you remember running around the backyard looking enthusiastically for Easter eggs on Easter morning? Perhaps you get your luxurious, dirty clothes from rolling in the grass after that, in the celebration? Or wake up early and see the small Easter basket on the table with all your favorite things inside?
When I was a child, I remember I thought Easter was very fun. As an adult, I am determined to bring some of the magic of childhood to my son’s life, for these festivals that have a lesser meaning / excitement as an adult. Therefore, two years ago, Hayes made DIY basket with its favorite color, hoping that we can use it year after year to hunt eggs and the morning evening surprises.
So far, so good! It took some time to make it, but it was very easy. I have stood well, so I thought I would share the tutorial before Easter this year, if you want to make yourself. Not the required sewing!
A couple of homemade Easter baskets has made over the years – including one that takes only 15 minutes to make it and some Easter gift bags as well. But this is my favorite and I hope to keep it forever. It was a work of love … but I also used hot glue. So there were parts of them faster, if that helps.
Supplies
10 yards of cotton tubes (cotton tubes (11/16 inch spinning).
Note about supplies
Spinning: Using a variety / multi -colored threads for this project, like me, makes it very easy. You don’t even think about stopping one color to start, all flowing together well.
Hot glue: I know that hot glue may not look like the most logical way to make the Easter basket of the rope. But while I am publishing this, two years have passed since I made it and we still use it without any problems. It is amazingly strong … and you can always add some reinforcements with a needle and thread in certain places (such as where the handle connects) if you are worried about how to hang it.
Frankly, at any time I can get rid of the use of a hot glue gun, I will fight it. So, here is how to make a pleasant Easter basket from scratch with some materials.
How to make DIY Easter basket
1. Start with a double knot of spinning at the end of the cotton tubes.
Then start wrapping the yarn around and around the tubes, and withdrawing them safely / tightly as you go to make them strong.
2. While wrapping the yarn, you will find that it becomes difficult to manage if you do not wrap the complete tubes into a ball.
You will have to continue to wrap the complete tubes into a ball while you are going, which takes some time. But then the wrapping process will go faster again.
3. Keep the wrapping process and then put the tubes wrapped in a ball, until you reach the desired length.
4. Connect the end of the yarn with several knots. The two baskets are 11 inches and take 10 yards of tubes to complete it (which includes the handle).
It is useful to leave approximately 2-3 yards of tubes that are not wrapped to save time. The non -covered part of the basket base and the handle (which will be wrapped separately) will be used.

5. Now it’s time to start gluing hot. Start with the side that is not covered with tubes. Wrap it and add a line of hot glue (3-6 inches long). Then apply the pressure until it becomes safe. Ensure that the glue is safe before follow -up.
Repeat this process every few inches.
Once you reach the required base size, it is time to start paste the tubes into the wall. Again, you will want to spend your time when overcoming the layers together.
To create a strong bond, go slowly and apply the pressure for 20-30 seconds per section from 3 to 6 inches.
6. When the basketball base is complete, make the handle with a square of approximately pipes (it can be more or less dependent on the required handle size).
Wrap a piece of tubes with yarn as I did before, but this time add a long piece of wire that will run the length of the handle. This will help keep it severe and strong.
7. Once the handle is completed, connect it to the (inner) base of the basket with hot glue, to keep it in its position.
8. Now after completing the handle and basket base, use a needle and thread to go through the handle and in parts of the wall and the base that may need some additional reinforcement.
Then it is ready for use.
