With much of Scandinavia enjoying the sunshine and warmth this week, it would be rude not to take us to a Swedish Gotland holiday today! After all, there’s only one month left until the school vacation, and summer country life begins!
While it would be nice to spend the summer at this house in the southeast of the island (the pool sounds great, for starters!), I could happily sit by the fire in the winter, too.
True to the Swedish style, it has an open and airy plan and features traditional furniture and carpets often seen in country homes. But perhaps what catches my eye most are the red and orange colors in each room – which add so much warmth to the cold stone floors.
Falcumin in!
Can you imagine living here?
And what do you make of red and orange pops of color? I think they add a lovely personal touch and a lot of warmth. But even if you’re not a fan, the use of color is a great example of how to add a favorite accent to every room.
Should we take a moment to drool over a few more homes on the island of Gotland today:
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Nikki
PS: I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed reading all your comments lately, I still have a few to respond to, but rest assured, I’m addressing each one, they add so much to each post. Thank you!
