As every year, I write some summaries before the new year. I thought I would do it earlier this year and do it before Christmas. Also, split the post into two parts instead of one very long post.
Over the past two or three years, I’ve been doing fewer decorating posts and more DIYs and crafts. The reason for this is that I’m mostly quite satisfied with what we have and how things look in our house. I didn’t feel like completely renovating the rooms but I did add a few things to the house, and these are my favorite things.
Favorite things I’ve bought for our cats

Now that winter is here, I’m trying hard to keep our monster, who we call Pixie, happy. But I not only bought things for the outdoor cats and some things for our furry little ones indoors as well.
When I spayed Pixie and Frank at the beginning of the year, they were too afraid to use the heated tiny house. Below, you can see a photo of her finally using the house, but she wants to open the lid so she can see who’s coming.
Frank happily sleeps inside my son’s bedroom whenever he wants, thanks to the ladder to the deck I built for him. We also work there on our computer, and when my son is in college, I sleep with him almost every night. I have to say that I move from my bedroom to my son’s room when my husband starts snoring. Our indoor cats still hate him and the feeling is unfortunately mutual. And he hates them too!

So these are my favorite cat related items I bought this year.

Separate cat collar with removable bow ties (Plaid Set and Red & Black Set) – Just take a look below at how adorable Willie and Maya look in their bow ties. Frank and Walter are wearing the other two but I haven’t gotten a good picture yet. I simply added the bow to Frank’s AirTag collar. Cat Food and Water Warmer Bowl – Frank and Pixie love drinking water from this bowl. However, serving wet food on one side is a bit tricky because it dries out very quickly due to the heating element if they don’t eat it right away. Small Insulated Heated Cat House – Silvervine Sticks – All of our cats are obsessed with these sticks. I’ve tried buying just Silvervine balls or powder, and the sticks are a favorite. Medium Heat Insulated Cat House with 2 Exits – I bought a second house for Pixie (or anyone else who wants to use it) that is larger and has two escape routes and those flaps are clear so she can see. Haven’t used it yet besides eating candy in and then immediately going out again. I think I need to find a different place for this. Outdoor Food Shelter – I bought two of these for our yard for dry food that I have on hand for the kittens at all times. Keeps food dry during summer and winter. Raised Outdoor Cat (and Dog) Bed – I bought this cat bed for Frank and Pixie over the summer and they both use it all the time and sometimes even sleep in it together. Outdoor/Indoor Electric Heating Pad for Cats and Dogs – I placed this heating pad in the outdoor high tent and they loved it. It’s not very warm but it’s still better than no warmth during the colder months. Rattan doll bed –
That’s all we have for today.
chos,
