Enjoy fall with our festive fall transfers! There are so many uses and so many great fall designs too!
Hello dear friends! Happy Autumn?? No, not yet but I really feel that autumn is starting to ease up here! I’m kind of ready… sort of! Well, I’m ready for the intense heat and humidity to go away anyway.
Since fall is already here, and it’s September, I thought I’d share a fun fall transformation today. Plus, I have a bunch of new fall stuff (decor themes, transformations, etc.) in the shop, plus other new stuff too. Be sure to head over to the shop and check them all out! (I’ll be adding more as soon as I can sit down and upload the rest.)
Today I will make another one from this set!
That rectangular mark there on the right.
If you missed any of the other changes in this group, you can see them here:
And here it is before…
It’s really fall-friendly, isn’t it? Sure, but it’s worn and faded. (That’s the fabric.)
I tried spraying the fabric with primer because I was thinking of painting over it. (I wasn’t planning on using this “festive fall transfer” originally) However, this method didn’t work. It wouldn’t cover the fabric very well and was very fluffy.
Then I decided to remove the fabric easily, and it came off easily!
Next, I sprayed the back panel with primer, let it dry, and then lightly sanded it to smooth it out.
Next, I applied a coat of Victorian Lace polish over that.
Once it dried, and after I decided to use the festive fall transfer, I decided I wanted to stain the wood frame again!! Haha!!
It’s a pity I painted it white, isn’t it??
But don’t worry, take a look at this! (I added FrogTape Delicate Surface over the painted areas to protect them from stains.)
I used our Cappuccino Stain and Finish Oil over the white paint!
Just look at that.
You would never know there wasn’t “wood” underneath. I mean there is but it’s white now and you’d never know!
very good.
The festive fall transfer has many designs included but I chose to work with these.
Lay it out so I can see exactly how I want it to be laid out.
Yes, just like that.
I thought of this as a longitudinal thing with a gourd on each side.
But I thought it was a bit small.
So that would be fun too!
Both are included in this package >>>Fall Festive Transfer
You’re done! (I also put a coat of Tough Coat on the surface as well… I’m out of stock but will have it available early next week!)
This is so much fun! It makes me ready for all things fall. How about you???
I love the “wood” frame too!
Beautiful on the mirror in the hall.
I used 3M tape to attach it.
Remember that little box? I had no intention of keeping it!! Ha!
I love it.
If you missed this change, you can read all about it here >>> Marine Lighthouse Chest Change
Our beautiful new front door in the back. I love all the light it provides.
You can also use this tag this way. (Or anywhere really!)
Or you can even welcome guests outside your home with a touch of fall.
By the way, I’m painting the house in 3 weeks! Oh my, I’m so excited! (In case you missed it, I talked about it all here)
New lighting units will be coming as well, and I have picked those up. They haven’t arrived yet, so I hope to enjoy them in person as much as I do online! Stay tuned for more!
Pin it to save it!
So what’s the verdict? Are you ready for fall or do you want summer to last longer?
Don’t forget to visit the shop to see all the new items!! (Transfers, templates, tissue paper and more!) If you prefer to shop on Etsy, you can find all the items in my shop there too! Head over to our Etsy shop here.
