I’m feeling the pre-summer energy right now, so I thought it would be fun to do a Friday Favorites post. Everywhere I look, I am amazed and inspired by the best possible. From books to music to summer style to beauty to scents. It’s all around me, and I’m afraid for my bank account.
Let’s start with books. Since January, I’ve read/listened to 46 books. They include small town novels with a little spice, romantic suspense, and mafia romances with more heat. Yes I said that, and I’m not ashamed. You can find my reading list here.

Jack is graduating from 8th grade, and I recently purchased this navy striped wrap dress from Boden. It is a classic piece that you will use for years to come. It is elegant, romantic and very attractive. I love a good pair of gold sandals, and of course green earrings because they go so well with the navy blue.

These two swimsuits are in my cart as we speak. I love a good ruffle, touch, and two-piece (on the right).

Summer on Long Island can be very casual or have a weekend vibe, such as a trip to the vineyards. I haven’t ordered this yet, but it’s on my list. I have to remind myself that slow and steady wins the race.

In terms of beauty, these items below are my must-haves. The lip gloss is superior to any other gloss I’ve used; They also sell it at Bath & Body Works. Bright Maker is great alone or with foundation. Gives a youthful glow without a lot of makeup. And yes, GoPure works. I’m sure you’ve seen it everywhere.

These two outdoor items are in my outdoor favorites, and I can’t wait to make them.

A few weeks ago, I did a very honest interview with my friend Danielle from Finding Silver Pennies. I asked about my father, what inspires me, and what my creative journey that has spanned over twenty years has looked like. This is probably the most honest of all. Definitely check out the Creativity Over Coffee interview. We’ve been friends for 13 years, and she’s very creative. Danielle has a watercolor line and lives in the most amazing place. And look at her house, adorable!
