Need ideas for fall? Check out this simple and quick fall decor idea!
Hello friends! Happy fall!
Today I’m sharing with you another fun “fall” creation! We’re getting some cool weather (mostly in the evenings, days are still hot most of the time) so I’m really feeling the fall vibes! I’ve started doing some work on our porch but I’m not sure how much I can really do since we’re in work mode there.
But I have this new one out there at the moment! I’m going to have a little fun at the fall festival anyway.
I found this tray at the ReStore and thought I would do something with it! I loved the wood look and thought about keeping it wood but ended up painting it instead.
I’m sorry, I thought I had a picture to paint but apparently I didn’t. So here’s the deal: I painted two layers of raw silk, which was enough to allow the wood grain to show through somewhat.
This is the transport I decided to use. It’s from the same collection I used in this project >> Festive Fall Transfer Decor
And then I thought I’d do something with some real leaves around the edge.
However, I ended up not liking the idea.
But I still wanted the “papers” somewhere in the drawer…
…So I pulled this other transfer instead!

Prefer to shop on Etsy? I also have an Etsy shop here!
I cut out several sheets and played around with the arrangement until I found something I liked.
Then I applied the “hello Fall” transfer first.
Do you want to know all the details about applying decorative transfers?? Check out this post here >>> How to Use Rub On Decor Transfers
See “oh”? I lifted the transfer sheet too quickly and it wasn’t quite stuck…so that messed things up a bit. But it’s all good!! Haha!
Here’s how I decided to arrange some papers.
Once I had it on, I used a black marker to round out the edges of the drawer.
And it’s over! Sweet (and simple!) Hello fall decor!
Lots of ways you can use this.
And here in our foyer.
You can see the painting you made a while ago in the reflection of the mirror. I love it and will have to give the painting another chance sometime. Here’s the post if you want to see the details of it >>> DIY Blue Heron Painting
Doesn’t the black outline give it a nice finished look?
Here’s Ryder boy looking handsome. He got a trim and shower yesterday.
And of course our girl Piper too.
The centerpiece on our dining table…it would look so cute with some little pumpkins instead of those balls, wouldn’t it?
I decided to put it on this table outside…on our balcony which needs a good cleaning! lol (Remember this tile table? It’s this one I tiled here >> DIY Tiled Table Top)
By the way, it will be nicely cleaned and painted soon! (Did you miss it? Check out this post here >>> Key Updates)
