Although I did share my “vintage themed” Christmas tree once this year, while staying at our rental house before moving back to this one, (You can see the original post of this tree here and the story of returning to this house here) This is the first time I’ve shared a new, colorful, vintage-themed Christmas in this house.
I have to tell you…this style is so different from years past, but I love every bit of it! The colors really speak to me, and I love the nostalgic feeling it has. I feel like I can really expand on this over the next few years, if I so choose!
This year, I felt like I wanted the shelf to have a somewhat minimalist feel, even though I know this wouldn’t be considered simplistic by most people. The two bare trees on each end of the mantelpiece with the red velvet bows, the greenery that had just been placed, and the picture and mirror of Santa all came together so easily…so easily that it seemed simple. Next year, I’m really hoping to add more colors, more glazes, etc…but I love this look for now.
This Santa photo is from Hobby Lobby. I found this year!
The glass trees felt like they added the perfect touch, tucked away into the greenery for a bit of height and colour.
I’ve added the star since my previous post, and I think it’s pretty, although I wish it was a little bigger. It’s not “straight”, but this is the first time I’ve put an actual star on my tree. I usually have a bunch of sprays, which I love too…but this was more convenient for this tree! I found the star from Amazon. You can find the same using my referral link here.
My view is very convenient. I love sitting here and taking it all in at night. It feels peaceful and full of joy.
The glass ornaments are absolutely beautiful…all the colors and shapes make me smile!
I also really love that my gifts look so pretty under the tree! For me, this is art! I love a good, wrapped gift! It’s so much fun and so rewarding!
I hope you enjoyed my night views of the living room tree and fireplace mantel this year!
If you want to save it for inspiration, be sure to pin it for later!
