If you’re a Queer Eye fan, you’ve probably noticed how new cast member Jeremiah Brent’s home renovations are very eye-catching. The interior designer, who replaced Bobby Berk as the Fab Five’s style pro this season, has the ability to transform any room into a stylish and functional space, and in one episode this season, he was no exception.
In a recent episode titled “Are You There, Fab 5?” “It’s Me, Billy” In Season 9, Episode 8, Jeremiah transformed the Librarian’s house with several creative tricks, but one in particular immediately caught my attention: He covered the popcorn ceilings with rolled fabric to hide the old texture.
Although it is not a permanent solution, it is certainly a cost-effective way to update your rental space. The fabric adds a soft, elegant touch and proves that the simplest solutions are the most effective. If you’re concerned about cleaning your ceiling, I recommend choosing a fabric that’s easy to remove and clean, and implementing a monthly cleaning schedule to ensure no mold or dust builds up.
In addition to the coffered ceilings, Jeremiah was also determined to introduce a distinct scent into the home. Smells play a huge role in how you experience a space, and Brent’s enthusiasm for curating the perfect scent demonstrates that scent is often overlooked.
Billy the Librarian was very happy with the house makeover, which is not surprising given how much magic Brent worked on his house.
