Last examination: Greta bedroom turns

Greta is 15 in a few days, and feels like the perfect time to reveal the transformation of the teenagers’ room!

When we moved to this house, we replaced the floors and painted its room, but we did not do much otherwise. She grew up, and wanted to have a bedroom she felt more teenage girlfriend. When you gave me permission to take the design – it was honored! Frankly, it is not given that your 14 -year -old daughter will be happy with this. But she is, and she is pleased with someone who loves to design our home!

It took more than a year to collect everything, but now, her room has become one of the favorite rooms for everyone at home! It has an amazing light. It is very mood at night. It is bigger, sweeter, mood!

Everything about the background, trim, and ceiling

We first drew the room in a light pink color that I loved when we moved. But this was not suitable for her tastes as she is old. Greta bedroom is large, so we were able to really place a rich color on the walls with a crimson background, and you did not feel very comfortable. I have chosen a contradictory trim (Sherwin Williams Rivai) in a completely different coating color from the background style – it makes the room really emanating!

Its roof was originally drew in the color of the cut, then I drew it back to white, because I really wanted to spend a moment of tone with white ceiling combinations.

Switch the bedroom furniture

This room has accidentally became a really big offer for a lot of Bottery Barn! The bed – my God, it’s incredible – distinguishes the beautiful, immortal naval tape on the upholstered bed frame. Her salary is the size of the queen, but it also comes in the size of the king.

She had previously had an old office from Facebook Marketplace in her room that was one of those deceptive pictures: After taking it, she realized that she was the size of vanity, so she was very small. We got it a new office from our line with Bottery Barn. This is still vanity but more size and is limited to book cabinets than our collection so that the wall really fills. She is doing her duty and art in vanity – it is something that she uses a lot!

Although the furniture along this wall is black, it does not feel it is heavy pieces due to the open frame. Greta has a lot of books I put there, but they are also great for art, decoration and storage with some closed boxes. If I will add anything else, you know that I can always get some hard candlesticks on both sides of the mirror here.

Add the art of the new wall (and old)

It was great – we added art to her room, just felt, “Oh, this room has ended.” Which goes only to show the effect of art! The first piece we added is the horse over its bed. This image is something that we did for a DIY frame for several years. It was really easy: the image was printed on a fabric, then we made the frame. It has had since then!

Above her wardrobe, we put these four large paintings of anthropology. They are larger than they look at the pictures. It is very influential in her room. Just cool enough and strange enough to love them.

I think everyone remembers their childhood bedroom, then their teenagers’ bedroom … I am honored and enthusiastic about this bedroom to be part of the memories of Greta for life.
