Tile is one of our favorite materials for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, entryways, and more! Tile can add pattern, color, visual interest, and texture. You can find great looks in cement, glass, porcelain, stone, and more. And in highly functional spaces, tile is also easy to clean and care for. It’s like a magical material! Here are some of our favorite ways to use this amazing product!
Classic
Subway tiles are a classic for good reason. This style offers a timeless look that everyone loves. We love mixing things up with subtle subway tiles, different grout colors, and subway tiles with a little texture. In the kitchen in the top photo, we used white tiles with darker grout for contrast. And in the bathroom directly above, we laid subway tiles vertically for an eye-catching design.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Tile gives you a stunning way to add some character to a space. For the pool room designed by Pulp above, we added a wavy pattern that mimics the water in a pool right outside. It’s a bold look, but it’s also super functional in a room that has to deal with a lot of moisture.
playing with patterns
In this bold black bathroom floor, Bowl wanted to add some visual interest that could rival the drama of the space. These patterned tiles are the perfect complement. They also look like a woven rug, which pairs well with the lounge rug outside.
3D design
Tile can also serve as a piece of wall art. The geometric glass mosaic tile behind the sink in the powder room above is almost like a David Hicks pattern. It looks like a wall covering, but it’s a bolder, more dimensional design.
