Said Alla Hjärtans Dag! (Happy Valentine’s Day!) Today it revolves around the celebration of love in all its forms, so I thought – if this blog is about our common passion for the house – why not light light on the places we cherish more? Those spaces in which we relax immediately, and those that we yearn for when we are far away, and where we really feel peace. It may be a house, room, or even just a comfortable angle somewhere.
For me, this place is our little compartment. Members of this community will know that we designed and designed a few years ago, taking into account all the details carefully (Bear may say very carefully, but now he agrees that he deserves all this effort!). It is located on the western coast in Sweden, and it is only 30 square meters (322 square feet), but it contains everything we need: a place to cook, gather, listen to music, play games, and sleep. In the winter, we got to be keen to light the fire. In the summer, life flows effortlessly between inside and outside (Mobility between the two, depending on what the Swedish weather gods decided to throw our way!). We divide our time between the terrace, the beach, and the long coastal walk – and of course, the local pub – in seasons of change.
My heart belongs to this small retreat, as it is happier, surrounded by family and visiting friends. I hope you enjoy these pictures – some of them may be familiar, while others are new. I will share some details in the case of anything that attracts your attention!

The ladder and the fence were handcrafted by a local carpenter.

I would like to hear about the place you cherish more, if you want to participate.
Today, in southern Sweden, there is a little additional love that floats around it while the sun rises and is the beginning of “Sportslov” (meaning “sport break” – or what others refer to as half a term). I will make a short break with my family and I will return to the blog on Monday, February 24. Meanwhile, if you want to see a few tours, you may want to defend and delve into this archive:
The right friends, it is better to be out. I wish you a wonderful week and Valentine’s Day is very happy!
