Simple and modern interiors with a spacious feel await you in this large family apartment in Latvia. Designed by Bodes Studio, the 296 sqm apartment in Riga features an open-plan living space with a stylish kitchen, dining room and secret pantry, a bright and modern open staircase, a stunning master bedroom with a home office space and a large walk-in closet, and two very stylish children’s rooms with study areas. The light neutral decor in warm white and beige tones fills the family home with a sense of peace that takes away the stress of modern life. Contemporary furniture, carpets and thoughtful lighting designs complete the elegant aesthetic.
Three oversized pendant lights form a dramatic cluster above the main living area. The handcrafted organic shapes add a natural touch to the minimalist living room and create an eye-catching focal point. 
The modular sofa arrangement can be accessed from two sides. One side focuses on the living room TV, while the other side of the large sofa overlooks the open dining area. 
A large rug defines the lounge area in the spacious open plan. Edge-to-edge windows provide a flood of natural light into the layout. 
The dining area is connected to the kitchen. A black dining table is connected to the central kitchen island, where the tabletop separates the deep marble countertop from the cabinets below. 
A secret pantry is located behind a plain closet door. The room is lined with dark, handleless kitchen cabinets, illuminated by strips of LED lights. 
Open shelves provide easy access to cans, and a small countertop provides a handy work area. 
A modern staircase rises through the open living room. Its solid white railing hides the steps from the lounge area. A small garden full of plants is located below the slope. 
LED light strips illuminate each staircase and highlight the slender handrail. At the top, a window that runs the entire length of the staircase floods it with light. 
The spacious walk-in closet features generous dimensions and a floor-to-ceiling closet organizer with drawers. Illuminated clothing rods, shoe racks and large storage nooks provide plenty of clothing options. 
A circular ottoman completes a wardrobe, providing a place to try on shoes or stash shopping bags filled with new finds for the season. 
The master bedroom is a huge suite with a simple bed with a wide frame. It also features a large smoked glass sink that separates the sleeping area from the bedroom entrance and the home office area. A colorful rug defines the relaxation area with a mix of warm and cozy colors. 
Unique pendant bedroom lights are paired above a low-profile bedside unit to create a modern ensemble. A full-length wall mirror is installed behind the ensemble to create a vertical connection. 
The open bedroom suite includes a walk-in closet area brightly lit by a large window. Sheer curtains on the windows provide privacy. A black-framed mirror and a chic cushion complete the boutique feel. 
The white cement floor floods the bedroom, office area and wardrobe with light-reflecting properties. 
Modern lighting penetrates the room, distributing bright light and a sophisticated, contemporary style. 
The bedroom workspace is equipped with a sleek black desk and matching office chair. A slim desk lamp provides focused task lighting above the desk while a linear wall light provides soft mood lighting. 
A partition wall separates the work area from the bedroom entrance. Open shelves are placed between its two supporting columns to divide its volume and provide utility. 
The first nursery features a quilted wall fabric, illuminated along the top edge by a strip of hidden lighting. Two modern wall sconces are mounted opposite the fabric headboard wall, casting light on a modern bedside unit. 
A small black table balances on the other side of the bed, resting under a pendant lamp in the bedroom. 
Wall-mounted storage cabinets provide space to store some of your child’s favorite toys and books. A large bedroom rug provides soft texture underfoot. 
Custom-designed children’s cabinets fill the opposite wall, stopping just to accommodate the child’s desk area. Angled door hardware adorns the cabinets with playful cross-stitch motifs. 
The yellow bench and adorable chair make a cheerful addition to a neutral gray and white bedroom decor. The wooden easel makes a creative area for the little artist. 
A yellow children’s desk chair adds a splash of color to the white cabinet wall and matching desk. A tower of illuminated bookshelves is built into the end of the cabinet, hiding books from view. An illuminated mirror creates the option of using the desk as a vanity. 
The kids’ bathroom is a stylish space that grows with baby. A rubber duckie is prominently placed on a matching yellow side table. Wall-mounted storage cabinets hide away the rest of the bath toys, bubble baths and shampoos. 
The second nursery features a simple, cozy design with soothing ambient lighting – perfect for creating a sleepy atmosphere for the little one. The crib is covered on both sides with padded panels that add a deep texture to the simple room. The usual bedside table has been removed in favor of a round ottoman. 
Bright lights create bold black lines on the ceiling and bedroom wall, cutting bold black lines into the pure white paint. 
A grey swivel chair and a light wood effect desk create a study area for the children. A matching grey rug provides soft ground around the bed. 
Pale gray curtains frame a large bedroom window, flooding the work area with natural light. A balanced desk lamp takes over after dark. 
The L-shaped children’s room also has a fun-filled play area, with a climbing wall and a kids’ gym. 
The guest room is an upscale room. The softness of the room’s beige decor and beige furniture is complemented by a wall of matching curtains that extend from edge to edge.
