There are many different versions of Thai tea. Typically, it is made from Ceylon or black tea flavored with star anise or tamarind. When I make it at home, I always use a Thai tea blend. It is always topped with sweetened condensed milk.
Thai tea boba only has four ingredients and IMO is the perfect bubble tea recipe. Thai boba tea is: boba pearls, Thai tea, milk and a little sweetened condensed milk. It’s creamy, delicious, and surprisingly easy to make at home!

directione
First, prepare the Thai tea. I usually do this ahead of time. I love the thai iced tea blend and pretty much follow the directions on the package. Combine 2 grams (about 1/2 teaspoon) of the tea mixture with 200 ml (about 3/4 cup) of water. Leave it to steep overnight and then strain the tea mixture before using.
I will brew 4x to 5x this amount in a small pitcher so I can enjoy my Thai iced tea all week while making this Thai boba tea recipe.
Next, prepare the boba pearls and let them cool before using.
You are now ready to assemble your drink. In a cup, add the boba balls and then the ice. I drizzle sweetened condensed milk along the sides of the cup. You can also mix it with tea or milk if you prefer.
Then pour into Thai tea. Then cover the drink with milk. Enjoy the cold!
