The cozy and lived-in atmosphere of this space makes anyone who walks in feel at home. It has an attractive atmosphere that sets the tone. At the same time, visual interest is added with the combination of light and dark wood accents. Igor Partina really knew what she was doing when she put together this cozy, Scandinavian-inspired interior — and we’re here for it!
Square footage is limited, so this home uses an open floor plan (and floor-to-ceiling windows) to create spaciousness. The beige color palette prevails in the living area. This can be seen in the cozy sectional – which provides space for sitting and lying down – and the jute rug. Two mismatched coffee tables add visual interest, while a bookshelf provides space for decorative accessories and plants.
The dining area features a comfortable light oak table which can also be used as a kitchen island. In the kitchen, we see dark wooden lower cabinets paired with lighter cabinets above. This adds variety to the color scheme (even if the space only sticks to neutrals). Special mention to the under-cabinet lighting and gold hardware keeping in mind luxury.
The bedroom is a relaxing haven! We see wooden elements extending from top to bottom. These cleverly set a neutral color palette and create an inviting ambiance at the same time. We also see warmth added by the bed’s soft upholstery, built-in bedding, and wooden (yet elegant) workstation.
Lighting is also used strategically to enhance the ambiance. Pendant lights surrounding the bed illuminate the dĂ©cor on the side tables, while accent lighting in the wall makes it a ‘simple’ feature. Quiet luxury – unobtrusive – is what we like to call this room.
The cozy atmosphere continues to the bathroom, where we see a mix of differently patterned tiles. This makes for an interesting ambiance as the wooden vanity ensures warmth. The large round mirror is another design secret that adds a sense of movement to the space. Lined with lighting—and paired with a large potted plant—this nook easily forms the focal point of the space! Finally, a bathtub and walk-in shower ensure that the space is as functional as it is stylish.
