The family -owned family furnishings announced the reopening of the Llantrisant store after a fire broke out in the building.
The store, located near Talbot Green, Rhondda Cynon TAF, witnessed four sets sent to its location at about 2:30 am on Friday (April 4) after the fire destroyed two buildings belonging to the company.
“Last night, our store was affected by one of the external buildings behind the store,” the company said in a statement. “Thanks to the excellent South Wales Fire and Resue service, the fire was quickly controlled before spreading to the main store.
“We have some work that must be done in some store areas to remove water, but we expect that we will be ready to reopen by midday today.”
About 60 firefighters, an air ladder platform, three water factors and a fire -handling accident unit were used, with bontelone, bontebrid, bacuid, Carridge, Witchechs, Cardiff Central, Barry, Kenfig Hill, Kurvili, Tonibandy, Dean, Aberdan.
The fire was controlled at approximately 5 am and Leekes now announced the reopening of the store.
“We are pleased to inform you that after Fire last night, Leeks Llantrisant has been reopened to our customers,” he added. “We would like to thank the South Wales Fire and Resue Service service and their partners for their amazing work last night in the fire containing two additional buildings at the back of the store that prevents it from spreading in the store.
“We also would like to admit the excellent work of the teams and support for the store and support that has worked quickly and efficiently this morning to ensure that our store is opened safely.
“We look forward to welcoming customers to our store and feel that you are incredibly lucky because the situation was well managed. Thank you for your continuous support.”
South Wales launched fire and rescue firefighting and southern Wales police a joint investigation into the cause of the fire.
