Apparently, we’re supposed to sleep 30 to 60 minutes more every day during the winter. The word “hibernation” comes to mind. If you want to follow this advice, Linen Drawer has some helpful tips… starting with how to make your bed well, using all the different components to ensure a long, comfortable sleep.
Imagine your bed completely bare – just the frame and mattress. If you have a sturdy bed with legs, headboards, and footboards, you can skip the next step.
If you have a bed base on which the mattress rests and a separate headboard, the first step is to install it Bed skirt, or bed skirt. This is the fabric that hides the base of your bed. It is important that this is appropriate, otherwise it may present a sad image.
Next is your mattress. This comes on a bed base and is hopefully the best you can afford. If you have any doubts, please contact the Linen Drawer team For answers to all your bed and mattress questions.
Before you do anything else, get dressed Excellent mattress. This is a memory foam, latex, down, or microfiber pillow that gives you an extra layer of comfort. If you don’t have one, don’t worry, you probably feel comfortable enough as is.
Next you will place your Mattress protector On the mattress. This is the cover that fits over the mattress, is often quilted, and is sometimes waterproof. It is also important that this fits comfortably as wrinkles can cause discomfort.
Now is the time to place Electric blanket On the bed. If you don’t have one, move on to the next step, which is the fitted sheet.
Just a side note – if you have an electric blanket, it’s nice to have a protector for that as well. A flannel (brushed cotton) fitted sheet works well over an electric blanket. Fits snugly, keeping your electric blanket cleaner longer, and holds everything in place.
Now for Ready paper. And it really needs to fit.
A well-fitted sheet is placed over the top of the mattress and ‘folded’ down at the corners and sides – either riding up or not being able to reach the bottom of the mattress means the mattress is not the right size/depth.
We recommend using a Flat sheet Before putting your underwear down and covering it on the bed. It protects your duvet cover from body oils and sweat, as well as keeping your toes from getting tangled in the bottom hole!
the Flat sheet They are generally positioned with the right side facing the mattress, so that the right side is visible when turned over. As you can see, bed making can be very “specific”.
Make sure the inner duvet is inserted smoothly The duvet cover should be placed on the bed so that the opening is towards the bottom of the bed. Fold the flat sheet over the top of the comforter and tuck it into place Pillows The way you want them.
Pillows are a personal matter – we could devote an entire blog to their types and choices. Just say “sleep what you find comfortable” and get what you want!
