It’s no surprise that Australian wall art prints are a popular choice for homeowners around the world. It’s a pleasant surprise to us here at That Wall Art Shop that our most recent website visitors have come from all over the world. Seeing the image below on our dashboard this week, I sat up straight in my chair.
I’ve been spending hours every night for about two years working on this side hustle, trying to learn every step of the ecommerce and SEO process from scratch, and the hard work is just starting to pay off, with increased website traffic and sales.
Seeing people from America, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Canada and even some New Zealanders across the ditch, logging in and checking out our latest artwork is so rewarding and makes me smile. Every sale we make makes me feel humbled, and to be honest, our recent surge has made me want to work even harder to bring affordable wall art to the world.
Thank you, if you purchase from us, we appreciate it and hope you love the artwork as much as we do. Please head over to our social media pages and share your finished product with us. We love seeing what you go through to complete the creative process, and we feel like we’re connecting with you when you share the final result with us online, so head over there and share.
We sell a wide range of printable wall art prints at affordable prices that are accessible to people all over the world. We give you, the customer, the ability to download the digital artwork file upon checkout and take it to your local print shop or print it yourself at home. You have the creative freedom to print it on any product you want, a traditional frame, canvas, wood, t-shirt, hat or anything else you can think of for personal use. If you are unsure, check out our policy page for all the legal answers you need.
We love that this process also gives you the opportunity to be a part of the creative process with us. You get the freedom to choose how you complete the artwork and we love it when you share how you completed it on our social media pages. Our goal is also to make it accessible and affordable to as many people as possible. I think art can be expensive sometimes and for the average person, really beautiful art is sometimes out of reach for your average family. We want to make art that is beautiful to look at, affordable and unique from the rest of the wall art market.
Our abstract wall art prints are a popular choice and I love making them, to be honest. I love that with abstract art, I get to put a story into it as I create it and the viewer takes their own story from it. So everyone sees something unique and that’s very special.
Framed Art in Australia
I’ve recently had Australian clients contact me asking about framing and I’m torn as to whether I should include framing with our digital art downloads/printable wall art prints. I kind of love that they’re all currently under $25 so they’re a very affordable option, and adding professional printing and framing really kicks that price point up a notch. We offer professionally framed Australian landscape photographs, which capture a lot of our photography work over the years. Pretty much everything done by my very talented wife, Katie Fox, who you can check out on our Australian Outback Landscape Photography page. Anyway, I’ll continue to ponder whether or not I should include framing, but for now, I’ve listed some of the affordable framing options available in Australia to help you out.
If you want to combine a digital art print on the wall with a frame, here are some affordable options you can choose from.
Kmart offers some reasonably priced frames with the A4 option coming in at just $12, and the larger A1 frames coming in at a reasonable $28.
A4 frames sell in Australia at Spotlight for around $23, but I’ve seen them on sale for as low as $14, and larger A1 frames range in price from around $30 to $80, depending on which model you choose.
Some A4 frames are available at IKEA starting at $9! But you will need to do the conversion yourself to determine the size. To help, here is a guide on how to convert A4 to A1 frames if you are buying wall art from IKEA;
A4 size is 29.7cm x 21cm
A3 size is 42cm x 29.7cm
A2 size is 59.4cm x 42cm
A1 size is 84.1cm x 59cm
Freedom has a great option of being able to purchase multiple frames to save on costs. At the time of writing this blog, they had two A4/A3 frames available for $38, as well as two A1 poster frames available for $84.
Big W sells A4 frames for just $3, which is ridiculously expensive, and I don’t know how you can even make a frame for that price. However, they also sell A1 frames for $18, which makes framing your wall art ridiculously affordable.
How to Choose Wall Art
That Wall Art Shop’s printable wall art prints are available in A4, A3, A2 and A1 sizes. So if you’re in Australia, head over to one of the framing options above and choose those sizes, and you should be able to find something you like. If you’re not sure what size wall art to choose, check out our previous blog post on ‘How to Choose Wall Art’ for some very useful tips and tricks.
For now, our digital art/printable wall art downloads will remain a separate option from our framed Australian photography, making them a faster, more accessible and more affordable option worldwide. We hope you find this blog helpful and informative. As always, be kind to yourself and each other. Don’t forget to subscribe to our website to be the first to know about new wall art collections being released.
have a great day!
